Travel Jams: Planes, Trains & Automobiles #2

Here’s the second playlist for January 2015, focused on indie folk and acoustic covers with a bit of distortion in the end for good measure. It features Strand of Oaks, José Gonzalez and Blind Pilot among others. Enjoy.

Travel Jams • Deep Cuts #3

It’s the second weekend of the year already and I think it’s time to release a new Travel Jams playlist with a bit of good hip-hop beats.

This one is a playlist for the schemers, the people sitting at the office or at the beach thinking about what they’ll do with 2015. It’s got new tracks by Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross on the melodic side, mixed in with some indie artists like Jesse James, Dex Amora and Action Bronson. Enjoy.

Listen to 2 New Tracks from Hotline Miami 2's Soundtrack

The much anticipated Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, the sequel to 2012’s retro fuck ’em-up, is coming out next year and its soundtrack is as if not more anticipated than the game itself, which is why Devolver Digital is giving both a very special treatment.

Travel Jams: Deep Cuts #2

As promised, here’s one of the playlists I made from music by featured artists at the Rote Fabrik in Zurich, Switzerland.

This one is all about beats with classics from Isaac Hayes, KRS-One and Bobby Womack, mixed in with Yasin Bey, Jean Grae and Flying Lotus among others. Be on the lookout for the second playlist coming up on Friday. Enjoy!

Flyers at die Rote Fabrik

Here’s a quick gallery of posters and flyers that I saw during my visit to the Rote Fabrik cultural center and concert hall in Zurich. The place has been recently attracting artists from the indie rap scene and some really impressive acts that I never knew would play in Switzerland.

Some of these were designed by FLAG and the nice isometric one was made by Stephan Walter.

Thelma Plum • Gold (Chet Faker Cover)

I’m still working on this month’s new playlist, but for now I leave you with another excellent cover from the Like A Version series. It’s Thelma Plum doing her own take on Chet Faker’s ‘Gold’.
