Yesterday, the popular Argentinian comic artist, Ricardo Siri Liniers, started publishing some rather “different” comic strips he made for the Spanish magazine, Mongolia, on his official Facebook account.
Update (July 2nd): this week the author has blessed us with 4 new irredeemable strips which I’ve placed at the end of this post.
“Odunacam” is the name the author has used to collect these strips which stand very far from the normal work he produces. Bulimia, suicide and road kill is just some of the subject matter touched on these pieces that Liniers defines as “the Anti-christ of Macanudo”. Check it:
More than anything it’s about dark humor with characters straight out of some of your favorite comics and kids films. I don’t know what’s the content of Mongolia magazine, but it must be for a ver open-minded public, although you probably already know that if you’re a fan of Liniers’ work.
Liniers has been publishing consistently on Facebook for over a year and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more awesome comics like these on the way. I love that the concept is so bizarre the author even signed the strips backwards.
